Follow these steps
- Appoint a Council Commodore to serve as the Sea Scout key contact even if your council has no Sea Scout Ships.
- Attend the AUXSCOUT 112 - Introduction to AUXSCOUT - What is it? How do we implement it? workshop
- Read Auxiliary – BSA MOA and AUXSCOUT SOP
- Become thoroughly familiar with AUXBWiki and the Sea Scouts BSA website
- Contact the local division’s Sea Scout Staff Officer or Division Commander
- Identify local Auxiliary flotillas in the council’s AOR using the Ship – Auxiliary Flotilla map
- Reach out to your Youth Programs Branch Chief for your district
- Atlantic East – Robin Pope

- Develop a council AUXSCOUT tactical plan for 2019-20; communicate it to the Area Commodore and the National Ship Growth & Retention Chair
