On 23 February 2009, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary signed a Memorandum of Agreement to partner with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). A second MOA was signed on 25 August 2018 that made BSA's Sea Scouts program the Auxiliary's official youth program. The Auxiliary's Recreational Boating Safety Outreach Department is coordinating the implementation to make this a meaningful agreement for the two organizations.

About the BSA
Every organization has its own way of expressing itself, as well as its own approach to how to get the job done. The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is no exception.
