Sea Scouts aboard the USCGC Barque Eagle during her 2018 summer training cruise
The Sea Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America is the official youth program of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. The objectives of this partnership is to provide training opportunities to Sea Scout youth and adult leaders; to integrate Sea Scout youth and adults into the Auxiliary's shoreside and underway programs; and to create a pathway for Sea Scouts and other BSA members to promote recreational boating safety, to assist the United States Coast Guard, and to become members of the Auxiliary.

The AUXSCOUT Marketing and Medial Relations Toolkit brings together resources that help Coast Guard Auxiliarists and Scouting volunteers publicize and promote the Auxiliary - Sea Scout partnership.

Public Affairs assistance is available from Bill Smith, Youth Programs Marketing / Social Media Branch Chief for the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and Josh Gilliland, Marketing Chair for the National Sea Scout Committee. They will be happy to answer your questions and provide you with any information you need. Program or policy questions should be directed to Bruce Johnson, Youth Programs Division Chief for the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

The latest news is available on AUXSCOUT Facebook page and the Latest News page on the Sea Scouts BSA website.

Vision Statement & Big Hairy Audacious Goal

Vision Statement

We will develop and grow the Sea Scout program using the capabilities of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. We will work together to provide Sea Scouts with opportunities to become good citizens and capable leaders by learning maritime skills through their involvement with Team Coast Guard.

Big Hairy Audacious Goal

At least one Sea Scout Ship directly involved with each Coast Guard Auxiliary division, and 50% of all Sea Scout Ships directly involved with the Coast Guard Auxiliary within two years.
