The Boy Scouts of America provides youth protection training, not only for its registered adult leaders, but also for anyone who has reason to come into contact with Scouting youth (including Sea Scouts). The course is available online.

Procedure for taking Youth Protection Training

  1. Log into Myscouting.org.
  2. From the My.Scouting.org portal, click Menu then My Dashboard from the menu list.
  3. The My Training page displays to take Youth Protection training.
  4. Take the course. (It should take roughly a one and one-half hour to complete.)
  5. Upon completion, you may print a training certificate to submit with a volunteer application. Print it out and save if for your records. Your Director for Auxiliary (DIRAUX) may require that you send a copy to be included in your AUXDATA record.
